TBCRN Is a Referral Service

Tampa Bay Contractor Referral Network (TBCRN) is a referral service. We connect property owners, homeowners, landlords, and property managers with independent contractors and service providers in the Tampa Bay area. TBCRN does not perform any contracting work, does not employ contractors, and is not a party to any agreement between a customer and a contractor.

Contractors Are Independent

All contractors in the TBCRN network are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of TBCRN. Each contractor operates under their own business name, license, and insurance. Contractors are solely responsible for the quality, timing, pricing, and legality of the work they perform. TBCRN does not direct or control how contractors perform their work.

How the Referral Process Works

When you submit a request, TBCRN routes it to an appropriate available contractor in our network. The contractor then contacts you directly to discuss your project, provide an estimate, and schedule the work. Any agreement for services is made directly between you and the contractor. TBCRN's role is limited to connecting you with the contractor.

How TBCRN Is Compensated

TBCRN may receive referral fees or other compensation from contractors in our network. This compensation does not increase the cost to the customer — TBCRN's referral service is free to the customer. You pay the contractor directly for any work performed. The compensation TBCRN receives does not affect which contractor we refer for a given request; referrals are based on the nature of the request and contractor availability and suitability.

Vetting Does Not Guarantee Performance

TBCRN reviews contractors before they join our network, including checking applicable licensing, insurance, reputation, and communication. However, this vetting does not guarantee that any particular contractor will be available, licensed, insured, or suitable for your specific project, and it does not guarantee the quality of the work performed. We encourage customers to independently verify a contractor's licensing and insurance before hiring.

No Warranty

TBCRN makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the work performed by any referred contractor, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The customer's sole recourse for any issue with a contractor's work is against that contractor directly.

Emergency Requests

For emergency requests, TBCRN priority-routes the request to an available contractor. However, TBCRN is a referral service and not an emergency response agency. For fire, suspected gas leaks, immediate electrical or fire hazards, medical emergencies, or any situation threatening life or safety, call 911 or the appropriate utility or emergency authority first.
