Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tampa Bay Contractor Referral Network website and referral service (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Service.

Description of Service

TBCRN is a referral service. We connect property owners, homeowners, landlords, and property managers ("customers") with independent contractors and service providers in the Tampa Bay area. TBCRN is not a contractor, does not perform any contracting work, and does not employ or control the contractors in our network. We route requests to available contractors, who then contact the customer directly.

No Contractor Relationship

Any work performed by a contractor referred through TBCRN is performed under a separate agreement between the customer and that contractor. TBCRN is not a party to any agreement between a customer and a contractor. The contractor is solely responsible for the quality, timing, pricing, and legality of the work performed. TBCRN makes no warranty regarding the work performed by any referred contractor.

Contractor Independence

All contractors in the TBCRN network are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of TBCRN. TBCRN does not direct or control the means or methods by which contractors perform their work. Each contractor is responsible for their own licensing, insurance, permits, and compliance with applicable laws.

Referral Fees

TBCRN may receive referral fees or compensation from contractors in our network. This compensation does not affect the cost to the customer, as TBCRN's referral service is free to the customer. The customer pays the contractor directly for any work performed. See our Referral Disclosure page for more information.

Vetting and Disclaimers

TBCRN reviews contractors before they join our network, including checking applicable licensing, insurance, reputation, and communication. However, TBCRN does not guarantee the performance, availability, or quality of any contractor. Customers are encouraged to independently verify a contractor's licensing and insurance before hiring. TBCRN does not warrant that any referred contractor will be available, licensed, insured, or suitable for a particular project.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TBCRN shall not be liable for any damages arising from or related to the work performed by any referred contractor, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, delays, or defective workmanship. The customer's sole recourse for any issues with a contractor's work is against that contractor. TBCRN's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount, if any, TBCRN received in connection with the specific referral.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TBCRN from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your interaction with any referred contractor, or your violation of these Terms.

User Conduct

You agree to provide accurate information when submitting a request, to use the Service only for legitimate contractor referral purposes, and not to misuse, abuse, or attempt to disrupt the Service. You agree not to submit requests on behalf of others without their consent.

Intellectual Property

All content on tbcrn.com, including text, graphics, logos, and design, is the property of TBCRN or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including contractor websites. TBCRN is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party website. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the "last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Hillsborough County or Pinellas County, Florida.
